Colin is an experienced expert in public engagement on a variety of projects. At Chess Engage, he supports clients in developing a meaningful narrative and impactful ways to achieve their objectives aligned with community aspirations. 

Colin has been a County and District councillor for over 18 years. He is the former Leader of Suffolk County Council and has held several senior Cabinet positions. He continues to serve at a senior level within the Local Government Association and helps deliver growth strategy in local government. 

Colin has a strong background in property development spanning 40 years, and his expertise in strategic planning and delivery of housing, business and industrial development is extensive. His philosophy is to work with and help communities as development and growth occur.
